i think this song is incredible, the lyrics are simply phenomenal.it could have been performed with a little more heart, but other than that it is awesome.
i don’t know what to say, which is probley what the song does for me. When you sing about things that it’s the strongest messege you can send, but you know that.

It’s too easy to disagree with other’s comments. Usually I’m able to ignore the discord, but here I guess I can’t. Sorry everyone.

Sorry, I can’t let this just be. I think the delivery of the performance is absolutely perfect for the song’s theme and attitude.
The lyrics which become gradually creepier are indeed “phenomenal”. And they are supposed to be juxtaposed with the nonchalant attitude of the World Leader who is really still the Little Kid who just cannot stop showing up everybody else on the playground.
As for singing with “heart” though, I must voice my opinion here. For one, the singing gradually gets more intense as the song progresses, eventually shouting at the end. Secondly, if the vocals came across like an emotional Andrew Lloyd Webber piece, then it would seem disingenuous. For this song, that pairing of two different sides (disinterest : armageddon) is essential.

Agreed. Many songs seem to be layered in a code language in which (sometimes) only the songwriter knows his or her intended meaning. Every so often it’s nice to find one that doesn’t require de-coding. When I heard this on-the-air tonight, the last lyric hit me over the head. And I suspect this may be how Momo felt too, unable to put a finger on exactly why it works so well.
This song is really good. I love it and I think it has a great sense of sweet ness about it. Gotto love it. -The big G fighter-
